Day 2: the Day 1 aftermath

One of the awesome things I noticed about this P90X2 is that its not every single day... its only 5 days a week when you take out the rest days! That's almost 1/3 of the 90 days as rest days! So I can get at least 1/3 of the program right. Trying to look at the positive :) Note: the program is divided into 3 phases each lasting 3-6 weeks. I chose 90 days arbitrarily... you know, because I needed a definitive number to count down from until it's over. The light at the end of this tunnel I will grow to love or hate. Probably hate. But whatever. At least I'll be pretty :P

The first day is X2 Core. Half of it was stretching and it didn't seem to bad once I modified the heck out of it. Then I woke up this morning and everything hurt. Not bad. Just a little. Everywhere. And it'll only get worse. I figured since it was Core that my abs would be the most sore but its my arms and chest. All those friggin' planks. Most of the exercises I could do, just slower and maybe 7or 8 reps to their 10. Except the damn push-ups with the medicine ball. I did 1 and fell over. My nemesis.

One of my goals is to get my workout done early in the morning, that way I don't procrastinate and make excuses all day until I'm too tired to do it. This week I had Monday until Thursday night off... 4 days to get a great start! Day 1 I procrastinated until 3pm. But I did it. Even after I thought about not doing it. I even thought about doing 2 workouts in 1 day later in the week to make up for it. For future reference: THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN- DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! It's 8:50a now and I am determined to start Day 2 by 9:00a.

     Pressing play at exactly 9:00am.
     No excuses.
Then it will only by 88 days left! (including 26 rest days, but who's counting)
By the way, that's only 62 workout days left!
     But who's counting...

Here is a pic of my "before" bicep. That's from carrying around kids that are too big to be carried around. Not bad, but I do need to be carefull not to build up man arms. I don't want to look like a dude.

Ok, I'm pressing play now, I swear... Plyocide.
      The name scares me.
It should be something more along the lines of Happy Bunny Jumping, maybe.
I do not want to die intentionally by plyometrics.
      Play.
